Emmy
producer Don Mischer says Thomas "... can make an event compelling and
important without overstatement or hype. We’ve worked with her many
times and she’s terrific with live television events."
Thomas can be heard on the Disney
Channel talking to pre-schoolers as the voice of Playhouse Disney’s
Project Playtime and Bill Cosby’s "Kids Say the Darndest Things," currently in syndication.
Between jetting
back and forth from Hollywood’s Kodak Theater and New York’s Radio
City Music Hall, Thomas manages to find time to conduct hands-on
voiceover workshops in New York, Los Angeles, and Florida. She teaches students
how to "read promos like the pros," as she says, drawing not only
from her experience narrating numerous film trailers and television
promos but from her 20-year reign as the voice of the popular
"Hooked on Phonics" home study series and its radio
advertising ("Call 1-800-A-B-C-D-E-F-G").
In mid-2006 Thomas breaks into the
publishing world
with a book co-written by Peter Rofé titled "Voice
For Hire: How to Launch and Maintain a Lucrative Voice Over Career."
